Hi friends! If you have a Vivo Y16 or any Vivo model stuck on the FRP Lock (Gmail/Google Account lock), you can follow this step-by-step guide to unlock it at home for free.

Step 1: Initial Setup & Wi-Fi

  • Power on the phone and click Start.
  • Select your country and connect to a stable Wi-Fi network.
  • On the "Copy Apps & Data" screen, tap Don’t Copy.
  • Confirm that the device is asking for a PIN or Google Account (FRP Lock active).

Step 2: Enable TalkBack & Chrome

  • Go back to the Wi-Fi screen. Press and hold Volume Up + Down for 5 seconds.
  • Select "Turn On", then press both buttons again to activate TalkBack.
  • Draw an inverted "L" on the screen to open the menu. Allow permissions.
  • Tap the Camera icon > Menu (3 lines) > Terms of Service. This will open the Chrome Browser.

Step 3: Using a Second Device

  • Take another Android phone and install EasyShare and Activity Launcher from Play Store.
  • Open EasyShare on both. Transfer Activity Launcher from the working phone to the locked Vivo.
  • Install it on the locked phone by enabling "Allow from this source".

Step 4: Android Setup & Sync

  • Open Activity Launcher on the locked phone and search for "Android Setup".
  • On the second phone, open Google and search for "Set up my device".
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to copy the Google Account from the second phone to the locked one.

Step 5: Final Step

  • Once the phone reaches the Home Screen, go to Settings > Accounts.
  • Remove the Google Account to clear the lock permanently.
  • Verify your device info in "About Phone".

If you follow these steps carefully, your Vivo device will be unlocked successfully!
